We at ECM Consulting make our contribution to a better world. It is important to us that future generations have a peaceful future worth living in. For this reason, we support several projects to make this dream a reality.
Perlenkette e. V.
Access to education and a balanced diet are out of reach for many children in this world. For this reason, the young association Perlenkette e. V. supports a school in Entebbe, Uganda. The association, which is mainly organised by young people, arranges individual sponsorships for children from Entebee to cover the costs of school and food. In addition, the active members of the association collect donations to finance and support the construction of school infrastructure.
ECM Consulting was able to contribute to the first infrastructure project for the construction of an irrigation system on the school’s own farm, which will provide the children and staff with a sufficient, healthy, ecological and varied nutritional basis, regardless of the economy and weather conditions.

ECM Consulting supports the climate protection projects of the Hamburg citizens’ energy cooperative EnergieNetz Hamburg eG financially through non-repayable grants and a cooperative shareholding. In addition, we support the cooperative through personnel commitment and management know-how.
The citizen’s energy cooperative has been planning, building, financing and operating photovoltaic projects in the Hamburg region and in Schleswig-Holstein since 2015, operates the only hydroelectric power plant in Hamburg on the Alster, runs several climate-friendly local heating grids and is developing open-space wind power and photovoltaic projects in Schleswig-Holstein. One focus of their work is the implementation of photovoltaic tenant power concepts in urban areas. Based on the experience it has built up since 2015, EnergieNetz Hamburg eG now advises other players on how to get started with these topics.
The citizen’s energy cooperative has been planning, building, financing and operating photovoltaic projects in the Hamburg region and in Schleswig-Holstein since 2015, operates the only hydroelectric power plant in Hamburg on the Alster, runs several climate-friendly local heating networks and is developing wind power and photovoltaic open space projects in Schleswig-Holstein. Based on the experience it has built up since 2015, EnergieNetz Hamburg eG now advises other players on how to get started with these topics.
EnergieNetz Hamburg eG is also involved in energy policy in the region and in 2017 launched the popular initiative “Tschüss Kohle” (Bye bye coal), which led to the first German coal phase-out law in the federal state of Hamburg in 2019. Also in 2017, it founded the Solaroffensive Hamburg, which campaigned for a far-reaching, bold and at the same time sensibly and fairly designed solar roof obligation for both new and existing buildings (at the time of roof renovations) in the federal state of Hamburg. At the beginning of 2020, the Hamburg parliament passed the first comprehensive solar roof obligation in a federal state. It will apply from 2023.
